What makes a LitCamp conference different?
LitCamp conferences are designed to both help participants become better writers, and give them time to write.
​
Whether the focus is the craft of writing, or the business of publishing, we always make sure there's plenty of time to write...and have some one-on-ones with our amazing faculty.
Previous LitCamp faculty have included Adam Johnson, Jane Smiley (pictured), Susan Straight, R.O. Kwon, Paul Harding, Andrew Sean Greer, Laila Lalami, Ingrid Rojas Contreras, Anthony Marra, Phil Klay, as well as agents Ellen Levine and Laurie Liss, and editors Sarah McGrath and Ethan Nosowsky.
We hold our conferences at Whispertree Retreat Center located in Boonville, CA (part of Mendocino County\).

Accommodations range from posh cottages to rustic-chic platform tents.
​
All food is provided by our own vegetarian chef.
We'll be taking 2025 off to plan a really fabulous 2026 conference.
